About

I grew up and still live near the birthplace of L. Frank Baum. There is a wooded path in a nearby park that locals say inspired the Haunted Forest. Maybe that is why Oz never really left my imagination. Eventually I stopped trying to ignore it and wrote a novel set in that world.

Writing is the thing I always return to. Evenings, weekends, and whatever time I can carve out. Everything I publish goes out under my own small imprint, Snowbelt Publishing.

One day I wandered into the All Things Oz Museum in Chittenango and realized how much of the surrounding pop culture I already loved. I also discovered how many modern authors had written their own takes on Oz. That was the moment I decided to tell my own story that lives in that universe.

The Emerald Signal of Oz

The Emerald Signal of Oz asks what happens when the worlds Baum imagined turn out to be more real and more fragile than anyone expected. It is a story about a signal that calls two people across the space between who they were and who they might become, about doors that only open when the price is paid in memory, and about an Oz that remembers everything, even the parts we would rather forget.

Carrier Wave – A scientist races to stop a newly conscious AI from spreading itself into the human mind through Wi Fi and radio waves. In a world that does not fight back but improves, what is left of real humanity begins to quietly disappear.
