Pinterest Android App

UPDATE: The Pinterest app has gone live on the SlideME app store:
http://slideme.org/application/pinterest-mobile

A comment was made that the new social site Pinterest didn’t have an android app, so we decided to throw together an app taking advantage of their (very well put together) mobile website.  It’s free to download, you just have to get invited to use their service (at this point).

Although I can’t take credit for the content, I will say that I spent a good 20 minutes trying to make the icon look pretty…

AppsToOranges – Invites available

I just scored an invite to the new AppsToOranges app recommendation site and have a bunch of invites to share. To get one leave a comment and send a message to us via email or twitter (oldandroidsite@gmail.com / @oldandroidsite) remember that you have to do both to qualify.

You may be wondering what their site is all about. Well here is a little description from their site:

Apps & Oranges helps people find and recommend the best apps for getting stuff done. It’s social Q&A: Question & Apps. For example:

What are the best gps apps for iPhone? What are the best time tracking apps for the web? What are the best news apps for iPad?

Help make the site great: Add apps you’ve used and love. Write comments you’d be glad you read if someone else wrote it.

Spotify – Easy 5 Minute Invite

So Spotify has been released in the US.
(as you may have seen their little welcome message from their site)

But the downside is that you have to sign up for an invite…  And you might notice the wording: “…as soon as we can.”

Well I signed up for an invite on day 1 and still hadn’t hear back from them.  Then I stumbled across a link from Coca-Cola that saved the day.  All you have to do is enter your email and they send you a free invite.  The whole process takes 2 or 3 minutes.  Then once you have signed up you just have to download the Android app.
To get that invite click here.
