Album of the Day: Cake – Fashion Nugget

This is another album that I can listen all the way through without skips. Maybe it’s my love for good cover songs – Barry White’s Never Gonna Give You UP (not a rickroll), Willie Nelson – Sad Songs and Waltzes, and the ever-popular Gloria Gaynor – I Will Survive. The latter of these publicly stated that the Cake cover of her song was her least favorite version, mostly because the changing of the “I should have changed my stupid lock” line.

On top of that, you have some greats like Stickshifts and Safetybelts and the biggest hit The Distance.
