ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 with Lollipop and a 2048×1536 display hits Best Buy for $199.99

Last month ASUS introduced a quartet of new tablets, including the 8-inch ZenPad S 8.0 with a high-res display. Now you can buy two of those new tablets from Best Buy.

The ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 is now available from Best Buy for $199.99. The ZenPad S 8.0 runs Android 5.0 on an 8-inch 2048×1536 display and is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3530 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a battery that’s slated to last for 8 hours of use.

Other specs for the ZenPad S 8.0 include a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front cam, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot if you’d like to add more space. All of that is crammed into a body that measures 6.9mm thick.

For $200, the ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 seems like a pretty solid choice if you’re in the market for a new tablet. At that price, it’s $100 or $200 cheaper than similar high-res tablets from the likes of Samsung and HTC, and it offers features like front-facing speakers and a microSD slot, too. So long as you don’t mind ASUS’s custom user interface, it may be worth adding this one to your virtual cart.

Best Buy is also selling the smaller, more affordable ASUS ZenPad 7.0. This slate runs Android 5.0 on a 7-inch 1280×600 display and includes 1GB of RAM, and Intel Atom x3-C3200, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.
