Sprint’s LG G2 Gets An OTA Update With Support For LG’s Knock Code Security System

showland_optimus_g2_imagery One of the features LG pushed hard with the announcement of the G3 was its Knock Code screen locking feature. While the device is asleep, you can tap on the screen in predefined locations to wake it and unlock instantly. Knock Code actually debuted on the G Pro 2, but now Sprint’s G2 is getting it as well.

[New App] PixtoCam Allows You To Use Android Wear As A Remote Viewfinder / Shutter For Pictures Of Lego (And Also Other Things)

unnamed (16) So, a tiny little screen thing that’s kind of like a phone but not a phone and is also strapped to your arm screams for a few very specific uses, and one of them is a remote control for your phone’s camera. We’ve already seen at least one Android Wear camera remote, but that one was more of a proof of concept than a full-fledged tool. PixtoCam takes the basic idea that’s been around for longer than mobile phones and adds some notable improvements.

[New App] Craft With Android Wear Support Puts Minecraft Recipes Where They Belong: On Your Wrist

unnamed (15) I must confess to a near-total ignorance in all things Minecraft. My basic understanding is that you punch trees, dig, run from exploding zombies, and out of that somehow comes a full-scale digital model of the starship Enterprise or the entire country of Denmark. But I do know that “crafting” is a big part of all that, and in order to effectively craft, you need to know what to start with and what tools to use.

After Pressure From The European Commission, Google Will No Longer Call Games With In-App Purchases ‘Free’ On The Play Store

Play-icon-largeConsumer unrest over the prevalence of in-app purchases in free-to-play games has grown as of late, and nowhere is it more apparent than in Europe. The European Commission, the EU’s legislative arm, has issued instructions to both Google and Apple to more accurately market the erstwhile “free” games. They’ve also instructed both companies not to encourage children to buy virtual items with real money after considerable complaints from consumers. Today the Commission reported on its progress, including a favorable response from Google.

Customers Frustrated At A Lack Of Extra Chargers For The Gear Live And G Watch – Samsung Will Offer Replacements Soon

live Manufactures have been scaling back the included extras that come with hardware for a while now – you won’t find included headphones or cases with any of the latest flagship phones. But you can generally rely on getting a USB cable and a wall-wart charger at least. Such is the case with the current Android Wear devices, the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live. But if you have one, you’d better hold onto that charger like it’s made of gold, because it might as well be.
